
It is a pleasure to welcome Jiro Mizushima from Chiba University in Japan as this month’s guest contributor to my Substack Newsletter. Professor Mizushima specializes in European political history and comparative politics, with a particular focus on the Netherlands. His research interests encompass various topics, including ongoing welfare and labor reforms in European countries, the impact of populism on established political parties and parliamentary politics, developments concerning minority groups such as Jews, and the intricate relationship between monarchies and democracy.
